Location of Thomas McClaughry's (3.4) farm. The wood piled up in the foreground is said to be the remnants of the old farm house. Thomas emigrated to Kortright in 1784, literally carving a road through the forest at times. Thomas lived on this farm for 33 years.

R.H. McLaury's Merideth Farm location Location of Robert Houston McLaury's Merideth farm. In 1841, Robert bought 200 acres in East Merideth and built a home for his wife and family. On 10 January 1843, tragedy struck the family when a fire destroyed the house and took the life of their third child, Hugh. The McLaury's rebuilt the house and lived there until 1856, when the family emigratedto Iowa.

Location of Ebenezer Rowland's farm
Father of Margaret Rowland who married Robert Houston McLaury (5.169). The Rowlands figured prominently in Delaware County history. Like the McClaughry's, many members of Ebenezer's line became practioners of the law. After their deaths, the farm was split evenly between the Rowland sons.
